Line Premium Call feature
Today LINE released its new Android version 5.4.0. The main perk of this version is the LINE Out feature. This feature allows you to call your non-LINE friends on their mobile phone numbers and even landlines! The company assures that the tariffs are quite low.
LINE Premium Call is quite similar to Viber Out feature and even stole the “Out” part. It is also interesting why Line Inc. decided to release such a feature for Android users first, when the majority of messaging apps prefer to give their iOS version new functions.
Premium Calls are not yet available around the globe. Only users in Argentina, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru, Cambodia, Chile, the United Kingdom, the United States, Venezuela, Colombia, India, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Spain, Australia, Mexico, Thailand, and Turkey can use this feature.
To turn on the new option, you have to:
- Select Settings
- Next select LINE Out Settings
- And the finally tap Call LINE Friends from Profiles
- You are done!
Line 5.4.0 updates
Besides the new feature, LINE developers have added a special Call tab. The Call tab allows user to see the history of calls, both LINE calls and Line Out calls. The new tab also allows you to tap on the friends’ profiles and make a quick call. LINE fans will definitely appreciate this user-friendly design.
LINE will also automatically synchronize your phone contacts. In the Contact tab a user will see LINE friends and other contacts.
No matter the type of a contact, LINE will show the call history and the duration of each call.
All features are turned down by default, but you can switch them on following the simple steps described above.
