The new Skype version for Android makes searching for chats faster
Skype has released version 5.6 for Android. In the upgraded version, searching for active chats will take you much less. There have been a lot of complaints that it is hard to see all active chats on a mobile phone screen. The Skype team has taken that into account and updated the app in such a way that now users can see more active chats in the Recent tab.
Improved interface will surprise Skype users
The new 5.6 Skype version also has an improved design. From now on user avatars are of a round shape. Skype has polished and unitized the appearance of user avatars, thus making the app look simpler and more esthetic. By the way, now you will be able to see whether your friends are online from any tab of the app.
The colour of chat background is also different in the new Skype version. Messages will now be seen clearer and it will be harder to confuse messages you send with the replies you get. This is especially important for group chats.
Those were the largest adjustments. Skype has also made a few smaller changes and corrections in order to increase the stability of the app. The new Skype 5.6 for Android is available for download on the Google Play Store.
