ChatGrape developers claim that they’ve recently been receiving more and more requests from user asking to turn ChatGrape into an application for Windows Desktop. The company decided to respond to the feedback and came up with not one, but two solutions.

If you can’t help but like the old school Windows look, you have the option of moving ChatGrape’s icon to the task bar, meaning the group of shortcuts right next to the Start menu. What you need to do is this:
- Open up your Internet browser (Internet Explorer 11-tested);
- Go to your profile in the web-version of the messaging app (yoursubdomain.chatgrape.com/chat);
- Press and drag ChatGrape’s icon from the URL bar to the task bar;
- Voilà!

When using Internet Explorer 11:
- Open Internet Explorer 11;
- Go to your profile in the web-version of the messaging app (yoursubdomain.chatgrape.com/chat);
- Access Tools by pressing Alt + T;
- Choose “Add site to Apps”;
- Then confirm your decision, by clicking “Add”;
- Scroll down to the text that reads “Now that your ChatGrape Organization is a Windows App…”
If you’re going to do it via Chrome, Opera, Firefox:
- Open your browser;
- Go to your profile in the web-version of the messaging app (yoursubdomain.chatgrape.com/chat);
- Drag ChatGrape’s icon from the URL bar to your desktop (see image);
- Place the file into the following folder (don’t forget to change the username):
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu
“Now that your ChatGrape Organization is a Windows App…”
- Open your Windows start screen and click the down-facing arrow to view ”All Apps”;
- ChatGrape’s logo should be among the apps;
- Right-click the shortcut and select ”Pin to Start”;
- Congrats! You’ve done it! Launch ChatGrape from your browser, having selected the app from the Windows Start Screen Apps list.
