Slack messaging app tags
Until today, a message sent in the Slack messaging app with a tag @everyone created difficulties for the sender and, moreover, disturbed the recipients who were in different time zones or could even be asleep when the message arrived.
We have to give it to the Slack developers – they have taken users’ critical advice and created an option to send messages only to those who are @here. Only those online will receive it.
All you have to do is type @here before the text of the message and you won’t wake your slumbering friends.
Most reviewers believe that this update is much more important (!) than the previously introduced emoji favs that assume at least some elements of user behaviour.
