KINDLE IMPLEMENTS CONTENT SHARINGIN WHATSAPP AND MESSENGER

Amazon, Kindle, updates

If a producer fails to reach, engage or monetize its customers on mobile apps, customers start leaving it for those that do all the aforementioned stuff. Amazon is very well aware of that, so it always introduces updates. This time the corporation run by Jeff Bezos wants users of messaging apps’ to text each other about books.

For this purpose, Kindle is implementing a new option: to share a book quote, recommend or highlight some kind of text element on WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger (the Android version so far only).

The company blog post says that friends who you share content with, can instantly start reading a free book preview right on their smartphone, tablet computer or their desktop. They will not need to register, sign in, or even install this app.

Kindle previous experience

Kindle has already got a feature that lets its users share book content on Twitter, Facebook and also on the world’s largest book service Goodreads. However, this latest update (or better ‘an improvement’) is taking Amazon to a new marketing field – to the market of platforms where users actually have real, live conversations.
