WeChat is a free texting app. The application allows you to send text messages, photos, videos and audio files. Available on platforms such as Symbian, Windows Phone, BlackBerry, iOS and Android. Additionally, a web version and an OS X interface were developed.
WeChat was released by Tencent in January 2011. The application leads China’s messenger market.
Total number of users: 600 million.
