This Share button located on websites lets users share an article or a video they like, using Skype messenger. A lot of websites already have social network buttons that work on the same principle, such as “like” for Facebook or “tweet” for Twitter. The point of the new Share button for Skype is that you can share the content you find interesting through your favourite messaging app.
When doing this via Skype, a user clicks the button and a pop-up window emerges. Then the user will be offered to log in to Skype and choose a recipient to share the news with. When sending the link, you can also add a message. To get it done with, just click the “Send” button.

So far, there are four types of the button available: a square one, a round one, and two small ones with just a letter “S” on them.
The first sites to place this new Skype button were MSN.com and sify.com news portals. However, no doubt that in a short while many more web pages will be able to boast having this button too.
