Between morning and midday on Monday, September 21, Microsoft’s Skype stopped working correctly. An unknown failure caught the app at about 8.23 GMT.
Without wasting their time, users of the app from all over the world began hanging posts about this error in social networks. Curiously enough, Skype keeps operating on many computers and portable devices: at least you can send text messages. The only problem now is making group chats and the constant “offline” network status that is impossible to change.
The app’s technical support is already aware of the problem; however, they are not publishing the details of the incident.
Skype reps have announced that the technical team is working on that problem and hopes to find a solution as soon as possible. They have also apologized to users for this inconvenience.
Microsoft’s app has been around for quite a while. Despite the wide range of options that this app has to offer, Skype has not been doing well recently. A lot of users now prefer quite recent players in the market – Viber and WhatsApp.
