Google lets users broadcast slide presentations during Hangouts video calls

Google is expanding the function list of its product Google Slides – Microsoft’s direct and successful PowerPoint competitor. This year, the company has already given the users of this product the possibility to present their slides on any device with Chromecast and AirPlay. And now any presentation can be held on the screen of any Android device. Moreover, it can be transferred onto a Google Hangouts video call.Google lets users broadcast slide presentations during Hangouts video calls

How to upload your slides to Google Hangouts?

In order to present your slides in Google Hangouts you have to access Google Slides and press the button that starts the presentation, and if the presentation has been previously scheduled it will automatically start broadcasting. Smartphones can be used during the presentation to work the slides (edit, check notes, change slides around and, basically, make any other alteration). You can also view comments made by interlocutors or other people with permission to edit the document, as well as check the built-in timer to keep your presentation from dragging out. Lastly, users have the opportunity to see who else is taking part in the discussion. How to upload your slides to Google Hangouts?

More surprises from Google!

In addition to updating presentations, Google also released an update for Google Keep – an app for taking and managing notes. Users can now export the notes that they made in the app to Google Docs. This, of course, isn’t that big of a breakthrough, but it is definitely a very useful innovation for active Google Keep users.
