Most likely, our readers have already got the trend: WhatsApp updates for as long as it can and is yearning for changes for users and for itself. However, one question remains: are those updates always easy to follow? In most cases, they are not. Which is understandable – it’s hard to add something new on a weekly regular basis. Sometimes all the messenger team does is bug fixing.
However, last week they added quite a significant change. The messenger released an iOS update that offers new opportunities for users. From now on, you can have a preview of a link you want to share. The other day, the Android version of the app was also upgraded this way.
Now, when you want to share a link, you will have a preview of the title of the website or the article, an icon of the website, a short YouTube video description, a profile photo from a Twitter account you’re sharing.
Apart from link preview, WhatsApp for Android users can now tick the messages important for them so they can easily find them later. Also, now WhatsApp users whose phones are run by Android 6.0 Marshmallow can benefit from the Direct Share option. It allows you to quickly find a certain chat in order to share files from other applications in it.
As we can see, this time WhatsApp has indeed done a great job with updating. We look forward to more updates from it. Besides, as we remember from experience – that will not take too long.
