Kik messaging app turned out to be a magnet that attracts US citizens. This was confirmed by a report recently published by analytical firm Quettra. The research examined the number of hours that users spend on applications of different categories, including social, Google Apps, chatting, shopping, entertainment, gaming, film & music.
Kik came out on top of the “Chatting” category. Over the past couple of months, 90 million of the surveyed Americans spent 6.1 million hours on Kik. The top 5 include other messaging apps, such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Skype and ooVoo.
In addition to the amount of time users spent surfing these apps, the study also focused on the number of user sessions. Kik’s figures were miles ahead of its rivals — 444.5 million visits, which is significantly higher than that of its competitors. For example, FB Messenger was visited 191.8 million times, just to give you a feel.
These were the findings of the study. We hope that Kik will spend even more time together with its users!
