If you ever feel like calling up a few friends and having a chat with them all at the same time, then you’re going to love the latest version of the Asian messaging app WeChat, 6.3.5.
The update allows you to make audio and video calls in groups of up to nine people. You just have to press “+” in the app menu and select Video call to make it happen. If you prefer chatting sans video, it can be disabled. Then you should be all set to go ahead and choose the people who you want to add to the convo.
WeChat’s new version also includes group notifications. This feature allows users to send out notifications to entire groups of friends, if you’re the creator, that is.
To notify a group you need to select the profile icon, press “Group notifications” and then create a text post. All of your contacts in that group will see the post. With it, you will never forget an upcoming group discussion or video chat. Have a great conversation!
