Social networks and messaging app have become an integral part of people’s life, including both their private to work-related spheres.
Facebook have thought about the corporate service and released in 2015 a social network Facebook at Work enabling company employees communicate with each other in a customary for Facebook users way. The beta version of the new product contains all elements of a social network: news feed, statuses, photos and groups. Absence of any advertising and storage of user data are the undisputable advantages as well as the option of switching between your private and work profiles. The other day Facebook at Work launched its own messenger for chatting with coworkers.
The new product of Facebook – Work Chat messenger – is currently available only for Android users and on the Facebook at Work platform. The users have already pointed that the new app is more similar to the other Facebook Messenger than to corporate messengers, such as Slack, Yamer or HipChat.
Upon entering the work account in the authorization menu, Work Chat allows you to send messages to all your coworkers both personally and in group chats, exchange stickers and make video calls. The messenger also contains contact catalogs – similarly to groups in ICQ, where you can enter interlocutors.
Paradoxical as it may sound, the distinguishing feature of the new work messenger is “vacation” regime. When ON, it disables all notifications so that all work issues do not interfere with your vacation.
