The other day, Windows 10 fans and users witnessed the release of a significant update. Apart from Windows 10 users, the multimillion army of Skype messenger fans went through a catharsis too.
The Windows 10 update rolls out two Skype consumer previews. Let’s take a close look at them.
Skype Preview
Preview of Skype allows you to make video calls. Users can find contacts in their contact list (the Windows app and Skype contact list will be synchronized once you run the setup).
Preview for Windows 10 Messaging on PCs plus Skype
This one deserves a more detailed description. By the way, do not be confused by this long title. In fact, Preview for Windows 10 Messaging on PCs plus Skype is a convenient messaging app, which lets you answer messages right in the message preview, without running the app itself. Let’s see how you can do it:
- To send a message, run the app and choose a previous chat from your history of conversations. Or just start a new one. To do that, click ‘+’.
- To make an a/v call, click the ‘phone’ or ‘video camera’ icons.
- There is a Quick Reply option. It lets you answer incoming messages directly, without running the app (the aforementioned answers in the message preview).
Sounds good, doesn’t it? Get ready to try out the Skype updates.
