Popular messaging app Snapchat has released customizable themes for geofilters. Now, users can access a set of tools on the geofilter on-demand page and create their own filters for special occasions, such as birthdays, weddings or anniversaries. This feature, however, is available only on the desktop and not in the app and you will have to wait one business day for your geofilter to be approved by Snapchat. This is a paid option and prices for on-demand geofilters start at US $5, but depending on time and size can be quite high.
While the geofilters is undoubtedly the biggest news, there are several new features in the latest update that will certainly improve Snapchat experience.
Among the new features is the ability to italicize, bold or underline text. As another text-related option, the users now can pin text to objects. Previously, it was possible to pin only emoji and stickers.
Snapchat’s selfie lenses have also been improved. Now, instead of pressing and holding on a face to set the target area for applying the filter, users need to simply tap once to apply the filter.
Finally, Snapchat has made it possible to view stories of users you don’t follow. You can now search for an account and view their public snaps on the Stories page before adding a person as a friend or deciding against it.
The update is available on both iOS and Android.
