Twitter has refreshed its Android app that now sports Material Design. “Every day, millions of people are using Twitter for Android to share, explore, and connect with what’s happening live. Today, we’re introducing a new look and feel for Twitter for Android — a redesigned app that aligns with the best of Android,” the company wrote in its blog.
Here is some of the new features that should make using Twitter on Android devices more convenient:
- The Tab bar is now placed at the top of the screen and you can quickly swipe between your Timeline, Notifications, Direct Messages, and more;
- You can access your profile, highlights, settings, contacts and Connect tab in the Navigation menu that slides out from the side;
- There is also a new floating action button for composing all kinds of tweets from one place.
The new update is rolling out globally today.
