Instagram has become quite important for brand promotion and exposure. It’s become a useful tool for finding partners and new customers. So following a short period of testing time, Instagram is now rolling out tools for business profiles on the app.
“With so many companies using Instagram, and many people on the platform interacting with them, there was a desire from our business community to do more. So we listened. And, after hundreds of interviews with businesses, three key needs became clear—stand out, get insights and find new customers,” Instagram wrote in a blog.
Instagram Business Tools include business profiles, insights and promotion options. Free business profiles feature many useful tools: users can now call, text or email the business using the Contact button and even get directions.
Insights tools lets businesses see who their followers are and which posts perform better than others. “By learning more about the behavior and demographics of your audience, you can create more relevant and timely content,” claims Instagram.
Finally, Promote tool needs no explanation. You can select a post you want to promote and a target audience. Or you can allow Instagram to suggest targeting for you. Your post will then be promoted as an ad for any length of time that you choose.
“These business tools are just some of the ways we hope to make growing a business on Instagram that much easier. Business profiles, insights and the ability to promote will be rolling out in the US, Australia and New Zealand in the coming months, and will be available in all regions globally by the end of the year,” said Instagram.
