Popular dating app Tinder has just launched a new product Tinder Social. With this new function, you can now create a group including your friends in the app and then match it with other groups looking for a night out. At the moment this function is being tested with a small group of users in Australia, but the company said in a blog it is hoping to launch it globally soon.
To use Tinder Social, you need to start a group with friends you are planning to go out with and then swipe to match with other groups as you usually do with individuals. You can also check out the profiles of people in the groups you matched up with, see their status and chat to make plans for meeting up. Others can also see your group’s plans. A group expires after 48 hours.
“It’s a way to go places full of people you’ve already matched with, making socializing so much easier once you’re out and about. Whether you’re looking for groups you share common interests with, or you’re looking for a completely new adventure, Tinder Social is a better way to go out with friends,” Tinder stated.
