A year ago the biggest social network Facebook launched Messenger for Business with the goal of bringing in commerce to the messaging apps. Over this period many businesses have had the opportunity to chat with customers through integrating into the messaging service, including retailers, hotels, Uber, etc.
As its latest development, Facebook struck a deal with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, one of the world’s major airlines. From now on KLM passengers will not need a special app to obtain flight details, check in, get status updates and even talk to customer service, as they can now do it without leaving the Facebook Messenger app.

Check-in to KLM flights with Facebook Messenger
Nonetheless, KLM passengers will still have to book their flights on the airline’s website first and accept the Messenger plugin at the time of booking. Once that is done, you can check in, access boarding passes, get reminders and make queries to the customer service from within the Messenger.
The update is being introduced gradually, so you may have to wait until it becomes available for you.
