In November, the archaic Skype gave a pleasant surprise to its fans by announcing a web-version release. Time passed but the news remained just news. Only the chosen ones could actually access this technological marvel – an embodied innovation (sarcasm).
Today, March 26, Skype for Web has been released for beta testing. If you were so naïve and wanted to test it, as the author did, you will be disappointed:
Skype for Web has completely the same opportunities as the desktop version. This means that inside your browser you will be able to correspond, conduct video calls and usual voice calls, make conferences, etc.
In the race of technologies, Skype is definitely behind its popular peers, so the release of the web version will help it retain the audience, which looks at the similar apps more and more often.
